Delrin is the perfect plastic for turning on a machine lathe. It is easy to turn, however it requires slower speeds. I use this plastic to make Scottish small pipes chanters. Between the Delrin and POM-C rods, both materials are exceptionally durable and easily machinable, and they have comparable physical properties. They do look the same, but for practical use there are some differences that can make one better than the other. It also depends heavily on your application.
